NOTE FOR 2025:
Lam Research and the East Bay Community Foundation recognize that many challenges continue to present difficulties especially for students, families, and educators. Due to the disruptions and challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, a temporary adjustment is being extended for the Lam Research Core Values Scholarship for the 2025 cycle. We hope that this adjustment will provide encouragement to potential applicants. The following adjustment is being continued for the 2025 cycle:
- Minimum GPA: A 3.0 cumulative high school GPA is recommended; however, for those applying with a GPA between 2.7 and 2.99, students will be asked to submit a short answer question on their application. Applicants will be invited to write about any impacts that they have faced due to the pandemic to provide context that may not otherwise get presented in light of all the disruptions to academics and possible negative impacts on overall GPA.
This adjustment will be re-evaluated before future application cycles to determine if they are still appropriate.
Lam Research Corporation invites high school seniors in the Fremont Unified (CA), Livermore Valley Joint Unified (CA), Tigard-Tualatin (OR), and Hillsboro (OR) School districts to apply for Lam Research Core Values Scholarship awards of $10,000 over four years.
